About Manx Pregnancy Resources

Our mission

Manx Pregnancy Resources exists to give expectant and new parents on the Isle of Man a single, easy-to-use place to find the support, services, and information they need. The Isle of Man has its own healthcare system, its own employment laws, and its own government services — and finding clear, up-to-date information about all of these in one place can be difficult.

We aim to bridge that gap by collecting and organising local resources, writing practical guides based on official Isle of Man sources, and making it all freely available with no logins, no advertising, and no affiliations.

Who we are

This project is maintained by a small team of volunteers based on the Isle of Man. We are parents ourselves and built this site because we experienced first-hand how scattered pregnancy information can be when you live on the island.

Manx Pregnancy Resources is not affiliated with any government body, healthcare provider, or commercial organisation. It is an independent community project funded by voluntary donations.

How our content is created

All guide content on this site is researched and written by the pregnancy.im team, drawing on official Isle of Man Government sources including:

• gov.im — Isle of Man Government
• manxcare.im — Manx Care (health and social care)
• services.gov.im — Isle of Man Government services
• Social Security Division — Benefits and financial support

Resource listings are submitted by the community and reviewed by volunteers before being published. We check that each resource is real, currently operating, and relevant to expectant or new parents on the Isle of Man.

Editorial policy

We follow these principles when creating and maintaining content:

• Accuracy: All facts, figures, and entitlements are sourced from official Isle of Man Government publications and cited in each guide
• Currency: Guides are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the latest rates, policies, and services. Each guide displays its last-updated date
• Independence: We have no commercial relationships with any listed resource or service provider
• Transparency: We clearly state when information may change and direct readers to official sources for the most current details
